It is ok if your retainer is trimmed shorter on the top part as long as it is not trimmed below the halfway point on your teeth it's ok to wear the retainers and it will be able to protect your teeth the same.
How short is too short on your retainers?
Is it ok if the retianers are trimmed a little shorter on the top? Does that effect shifting?
