Yes, an Itero scan will work for us to make a retainer, night guard, mouthguard or any of our products. You just want to get the exported Itero file as an STL file.
- Log into your my.itero.com account: Access the iTero web portal through your computer.
- Locate the patient's scan: Find the scan data associated with the specific patient.
- Initiate the export process: Look for the "Export" or "Download" option.
- Configure export settings:
- Select "Open shell" for the export type.
- Choose "Files per arch, arches oriented in occlusion" for the data format.
- Select "STL" as the file type.
- Disable color data export by choosing "no color".
- Download the STL files: The files will be saved in a zip archive containing separate STL files for the upper and lower arches.
After you get this STL file. You can email it to us. Share it as a Google Drive file, or even send it via WeTransfer.
